Async Standups

Know where every team stands before your first meeting.

Async Standups collects updates in Slack and Microsoft Teams on each person’s schedule. The agent turns them into one summary for leadership, with blockers called out and owners attached.

Features

What you can do with Async Standups.

What each part does, what it looks like, and how it helps.

Check-ins that run themselves

Set the questions, the channel and the schedule for each team. WrkOS asks every person in Slack or Microsoft Teams at the right hour in their own time zone, and collects the answers.

How it helps you

Nobody joins a call to read out yesterday’s work, and distributed teams stop losing time to time-zone overlap.

  • Custom questions per team
  • Schedules per person and time zone
  • Reminders for anyone who hasn’t answered
01 · Async Standups

One summary for leadership

The agent reads every answer and writes one summary per team and one for the company: what shipped, what’s in progress and what’s stuck, with links back to each update.

How it helps you

You get the state of the company in a short read instead of five meetings.

  • Company and team summaries
  • Ready in WrkOS before your first meeting
  • Links back to every original update
02 · Async Standups

Blockers with an owner and a goal

When someone says they’re stuck, the agent pulls it out of the update, names who it’s waiting on and shows which objective it puts at risk.

How it helps you

Problems reach the person who can fix them the same day, not at the end of the sprint.

  • Blockers listed with owner and age
  • Linked to the key result at risk
  • Visible to the managers who need to act
03 · Async Standups

Polls, surveys and a searchable history

Ask the team a quick question or run a recurring pulse survey in the same channel. Every update and answer is stored in WrkOS.

How it helps you

Decisions get input from everyone, and you can look back at how a team or project has trended over weeks.

  • Quick polls
  • Recurring surveys such as a team pulse
  • History of every update in one place

How it works

Up and running in three steps.

    Connect Slack or Teams

Add WrkOS where the team already talks. No new chat app to adopt.

  2. 2

    Set the rhythm

Choose prompts, channels and cadence per team. The bot asks; people answer async.

  3. 3

Read the company in one pass

Summaries, blockers and trends land in WrkOS, ready for the next decision.

FAQ

Questions, answered.

Something else? Talk to the team or email hello@wrkos.com.

Do people need to install anything?

No. WrkOS asks the questions in Slack or Microsoft Teams, where the team already works. People reply there; summaries and history live in WrkOS.

Can each team have different questions and times?

Yes. Each team gets its own questions, channel and schedule, and each person is asked at the right time in their own time zone.

What does the AI summary include?

What was completed, what’s in progress and what’s blocked, per team and for the company, with links back to the original updates. WrkOS does not train models on your data.

How much does Async Standups cost?

The free Personal plan includes standups for up to 20 people. On Core, unlimited members and standups are $0.50 each per month, and Core comes with a 14-day free trial.
