Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how Deliverables Agency FZCO, a company registered in Dubai, United Arab Emirates (“WrkOS”, “we”, “us” or “our”), collects, uses, shares and protects personal data when you visit https://wrkos.com, use the WrkOS application at https://app.wrkos.com, or otherwise interact with us (together, the “Service”).

1. Who we are

Deliverables Agency FZCO operates WrkOS and is the controller of personal data we collect about website visitors, prospective customers and account holders. For personal data that our customers submit to their Workspaces (“Customer Data”), we act as a processor on behalf of the customer, who is the controller. If you are a User of a customer’s Workspace, please contact that customer about how they handle your data.

2. Information we collect

Information you give us

  • Account information: name, work email, password, company name, role and profile photo.
  • Billing information: billing contact, address and tax details. Card details are collected and stored by our payment processor; we do not store full card numbers.
  • Customer Data: content you and your Users add to the Service, such as standup updates, OKRs, tasks, documents, comments, files and messages.
  • Communications: information you share when you book a demo, request an app, apply to a partner programme, contact support or join our community.

Information collected automatically

  • Usage data: pages and features used, actions taken, dates and times, and referring pages.
  • Device and log data: IP address, browser type, operating system, device identifiers and approximate location derived from IP address.
  • Cookies and similar technologies: as described in our Cookie Policy.

Information from third parties

  • Integrations: when you connect services such as Slack, Microsoft Teams, calendars or data sources, we receive the information you authorize, such as profile details, channel names and messages needed for the integration.
  • Sign-in providers: if you sign in with a third-party account, we receive your name, email and profile information from that provider.
  • Partners: solution partners or affiliates may share your contact details when they refer you to us or work with you on a WrkOS rollout.

3. How we use information

We use personal data to:

  • provide, operate and maintain the Service, including AI Features and integrations;
  • create and manage accounts, authenticate Users and process payments;
  • provide support and respond to requests, including demo requests;
  • send service, security, billing and administrative messages;
  • send product updates and marketing where permitted, with an option to unsubscribe at any time;
  • monitor, secure and improve the Service, including troubleshooting and analytics on aggregated usage;
  • detect, prevent and respond to fraud, abuse and security incidents;
  • comply with legal obligations and enforce our Terms of Use.

Where data protection laws such as the GDPR, the UK GDPR or the UAE Personal Data Protection Law apply, we rely on: performance of a contract (to provide the Service you signed up for); legitimate interests (to secure, improve and market the Service, balanced against your rights); consent (for certain marketing and non-essential cookies, which you can withdraw at any time); and legal obligation (to meet tax, accounting and regulatory requirements).

5. AI Features and your data

WrkOS AI Features process Customer Data to generate summaries, flags, drafts and other output for your Workspace. We do not use Customer Data to train AI models, and we contractually prohibit our AI model providers from using it for training. AI providers process data only to return results to you, as our subprocessors.

6. How we share information

We do not sell personal data. We share personal data only as follows:

  • Service providers: with vendors that host our infrastructure, process payments, send email, provide AI models, support and analytics, under contracts that limit their use of the data to providing services to us.
  • Integrations you enable: with third-party services you choose to connect to your Workspace.
  • Partners you engage: with solution partners or experts you ask to work on your Workspace.
  • Your organization: Workspace administrators can access and manage Customer Data and User accounts in their Workspace.
  • Legal and safety: where required by law or legal process, or to protect the rights, property or safety of WrkOS, our users or the public.
  • Business transfers: in connection with a merger, acquisition, financing or sale of assets, subject to this Policy.
  • With your consent: in any other case where you ask us to share it.

7. International transfers

We are based in the United Arab Emirates, and we and our service providers may process personal data in other countries. Where we transfer personal data from the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom or another region with transfer restrictions, we use appropriate safeguards such as standard contractual clauses.

8. Data retention

We keep personal data for as long as your Account is active or as needed to provide the Service. After an Account or Workspace is closed, we delete or anonymize Customer Data within a reasonable period, unless we must keep it to meet legal, tax or accounting obligations, resolve disputes or enforce our agreements. Backups are overwritten on a rolling schedule.

9. Security

We use administrative, technical and physical safeguards designed to protect personal data, including encryption of our production database, access controls, and regular audits of our code and servers. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

10. Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:

  • access the personal data we hold about you and receive a copy;
  • correct inaccurate or incomplete data;
  • delete your personal data;
  • object to or restrict certain processing, including direct marketing;
  • receive your data in a portable format;
  • withdraw consent where processing is based on consent;
  • lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.

To exercise these rights, email hello@wrkos.com. We will verify your request and respond within the time required by law. If your data is part of a customer’s Workspace, we may refer your request to that customer.

11. US state privacy rights

If you are a resident of California or another US state with a consumer privacy law, you may have the right to know what personal information we collect, use and disclose; to delete or correct it; and to opt out of its sale or sharing for targeted advertising. We do not sell personal information and do not share it for cross-context behavioural advertising. See Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information for details and how to submit a request. We will not discriminate against you for exercising these rights.

12. Children

The Service is intended for business use and is not directed to children under 16. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, contact us and we will delete it.

13. Changes to this Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will change the “Last updated” date above and, for material changes, give notice by email or in the Service.
